Hi Stefano, and thanks for your input. I think you raise a relevant
issue, but I disagree at some level with your points.

The Camino 1.0 press release was actually translated and distributed.
AFAIK, no Camino official PRs have followed.
As for the last sentence, apart for being arguable, if I were to agree
with you, I'd substitute "press news" with "hype", which is something
that goes well beyond press news.

I can't speak for all countries. Here in Italy we really don't use any
local download site.
This issue is probably related to a different problem: the Camino
project aims at people who wants/needs software to keep things simple.
These people, IMHO, are less likely to bother about download sites at
all; they probably don't bother about downloading an alternative
browser either. This is not to be taken as criticism about general
Camino's policy, just a view on facts as I see them.
