In the current development version of Conkeror (the
experimental-buffers branch), C-q can be used to "quote" the next key
(pass it through to the web page), and C-M-q can be used to switch into
"quote" mode until escape is pressed. I expect these modes will be very
useful for "web applications" like Google Maps.

In the development version, there is much better built-in documentation
of commands. In addition, we do need to work a lot on the external
documentation.
