[Conkeror] A feature request for conkeror-xr

Hi!

First of all, thanks for conkeror. Yesterday I've tried out conkeror-xr
and it really rocks. It's much more stable than 0.42 on firefox
2.0.4. But there's one thing missing that's quite important to me.

It would be great if conkeror-xr had a mechanism for automatically
filling out forms (usernames, passwords, etc.). A simple yet flexible
approach would be if a user could configure two programs for that task.

  - One is queried with the URL and the form field names and returns the
filled out fields in some format, maybe one FIELD=value per line, or
nothing, if there're no informations available.

  - If you fill out forms by hand (or change some form values which were
filled out automatically) another program is called with the
informations, so it can add those to the database.

I think that would not be too hard to implement on conkeror's side and
would give the user much more flexibility than a builtin solution,
e.g. users can interface with existing password manager such as kwallet
or revelation or write a custom solution.

What do you think?

BTW: A similar solution could be implemented for bookmarks.

Bye,
Tassilo
