Hi Joe,
You can save a file by using the `s' command and typing the link
number of the file you want. As to general clunkiness, sorry I can't
offer a magic bullet. Conkeror currently has no ftp-specific code.
Perhaps someone can become inspired to create an ftp-mode for conkeror.
