I think so... Unfortunately, I can't find a good example right
now. Will keep looking.
There are two situations though:
1. Browser sends request to URL, which then redirects to real file.
2. Some sites that have urls like:
http://sitename.com.au/download.php?file_id=100
When the user clicks the link, the HTTP headers give the real
filename.
I can find websites that do the redirect, e.g.:
http://au2.php.net/get/php-5.2.5.tar.bz2/from/a/mirror
For these sites, it looks like "save link as" in firefox gives
mirror.html, you have to click on the link to get the real filename.
But I can't find any that do send it in the HTTP header right now. So
I cant test it. Will keep my eyes open. If only I could remember what
I did yesterday...
