I have heard it said that studies have shown the opposite - that it is 
less stressful looking at black-on-white then white-on-black. That is 
why they have changed air-traffic-control systems from a black 
background (that is what the technology supported) to a white background 
(because white is supposedly easier on the eyes, as it is more like paper).

Not that I agree...
