[Conkeror] broken new theming system?

Hi. I've posted this earlier, but it seems like it was bumped because of image attachment.

In recent commits there was a modification of theming system, which produces glitches on my box: http://station-mir.ginnungagap.in.ua/conkeror-glitch.png

Wanted to ask if anybody has similar behavior? I ran conkeror from a different user too with the same result, so it's 100% not misconfiguration issue.
