Hi Mozilla Developers,
I'm researching platforms for building an experimental web browser to be
usable by folks with severe physical handicaps.
In order to realize this accessible browser, our code would need the
ability to dynamically create some sort of graphical focus or highlight
on hyperlinks, buttons, and other interactive elements of a loaded web
page. Basically, the highlight would iterate through each navigable
item on the page until the link/button of interest was in focus, then
the user would use another mechanism to initiate selection of the item.
Would Firefox extensions support such functionality? Also, does the
extension API expose the screen positions where DOM elements are
rendered?
Thanks,
