Aman,

To restrict by the size of the email to be downloaded, you may want to try

Tools >> Account Settings >> (Your POP/IMap Account Name) >> Offline and
Disk Space >> (Tick the box titled) Messages Larger than (and fill in the
value to limit it to)

I am not sure if you can restrict TB to download only a certain messages per
session.
