are you sure that you use Thunderbird AND Enigmail from the SAME source?
E.g. if you installed TB from SuSE's repository, you MUST NOT install
Enigmail via enigmail.mozdev.org as they both need to be compiled using
the same compiler/options. Either install Engimail through YaST or both
TB from mozilla.com and EM from enigmail.mozdev.org .
