While Jon Haller may have included this Gmail support natively within
Portable Thunderbird, to My knowledge Native Support for Gmail is *not*
part of the Official Thunderbird Release. :-\
AFAIK, in order to use Thunderbird 2.0.0.9 from the Mozilla Download
Site it is necessary to also install the Webmail + Webmail-Gmail
Extensions or to use a Program such as FreePOPS.
