[Enigmail] How can I change my email settings on this list????

I want to follow this list via the newsgroup at gmane and so I want to
be subscribed to the list (so I can post here like I am doing now) but
I don't want to receive emails to my account.

Instead I want to switch off mail sending for now.
Gmane provides a good news interface which in my view is much better
than emails.

When I try the admin link from my welcome message it just gives me the
opportunity to unsubscribe or get a password reminder.
Most other lists provide a way to customize mailings and temporarily
suspend mailing. Can't it be done on this list too?
