So this is a PGP/MIME message with the signature as attachment. When you
look at the message source (ctrl-u), does it reveal lines looking like:
------------------
This is an OpenPGP/MIME signed message (RFC 2440 and 3156)
--===============1926377670==
Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha512;
protocol="application/pgp-signature";
boundary="------------enigC100EE2EE293DC8AA2009066"
------------------
The detail: micalg=pgp-sha512 is important. Without it, enigmail/gpg
does not know which signing algorithm is to be used, defaults to MD5 and
complains about the wrong format.
