1 Get rid of that googlebar you have by installing the XPI-rimental.xpi. ( You almost have to be viewing Googlebar from Mozilla Suite, or Netscape perhaps.)

The current XPI-rimental.xpi is 0.9.0.28.

I may as well describe here... How to get rid of the separators completely... at present: (this really should be improved)
1. Unlock Buttons using the Toolbar's context menu item Lock Button positions
2. Starting from the default layout (approx) find the leftmost separator, and start dragging the buttons which are on the right of that separator to the left side of that separator.
3. When no buttons are on the right side of the separators... they all vanish.
