[Googlebar] Googlebar persistently ABSENT from Firefox 0.9.2 on WinXP

I just upgraded Firefox to version 0.9.2 and was advised that my currently
installed extensions would be disabled. So I re-installed the Googlebar,
but it's not there. I tried removing it and reinstalling it. I tried
uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox.

I've read through the list, tried pressing shift-F8 for some reason, tried
looking on the bottom of the View menu instead of in View->Toolbars, but
it's just not there. It shows up in my list of extensions (currently
googlebar 0.9.0.28 Experimental, after the 'stable' 0.9.0.25 didn't work
either) but the bar is not on my browser. I feel like I'm in browser
purgatory, unwilling to descend into IE hell but disallowed from entering
Firefox heaven.

Am I missing some FAQ? No errors in my install.log file... WTF?

logfile is viewable on http://301south.net/stuff/install.log . Note that
the relevant install (today's) is at the end of the file.

TIA,
-Brandon
