Oops, after posting the above, I discovered directions on the same page as the file.  

And yes, 0.9.0.30 does appear to work with FF1.0.

But why is the current version of google bar hidden in this way?  And FF reports that there is no update available when trying to update 0.9.0.29 in the conventional way.
