I second Jakeo [184], 

1) A keyboard shortcut for focusing the search box that is easier to grab from a normal keyboard position than Ctrl+F12, maybe Alt+S or Ctrl+Shift+G.

I will say any Alt plus some other key will be the easiest to access during typing (to avoid using our little finger all the time.)

But overall, googlebar is fantastic. :)
