There was an additional delay at update.mozilla.org. 8 or 9 days the fx 1.0 version waited to be posted for downloading. No good, and that is a good example of why I feel the developer access is so important for projects to participate with our contributions over there. Before Firefox 1.0 was to be released, the plan was to have our area functioning at update.mozilla.org, where we could answer end-user's questions/problems and put new releases on the servers directly. At present we must let someone at update.mozilla.org know about a new version, and wait for them to make it available for downloading. 8 or 9 days is far too long.
