John Liebson,
a. includes files that may be corrupted especially prefs.js, in which case you have now corrupted your newly created profile. That list of files you provide only applies when there is no corruption of the profile.
c. It was a Firefox problem.
Borpt,
You want the big fat buttons eh?
Include this in your userChrome.css file. {you may have to create one in the chrome folder of your mozilla profile}
/* give more space for toolbar buttons */
.toolbarbutton-1,
.toolbarbutton-menubutton-button
{ padding: 7px !important; }
.toolbarbutton-1[checked="true"],
.toolbarbutton-1[open="true"],
.toolbarbutton-menubutton-button[checked="true"],
.toolbarbutton-menubutton-button[open="true"]
{ padding: 7px 7px 7px 7px !important; }
/* toolbar buttons */
Imax,
You probably have installed the Googlebar for Mozilla, and the Googlebar for Firefox.
You can just uninstall Firefox, and delete files when asked. Your user settings will not be removed.
If that does not work... because the Googlebar for Mozilla Suite was/is installed into the User Profile...
In the URLbar, type
chrome://googlebar/content/freshStart.xul
and it will remove the Mozilla Suite version.
