First of all, I wanna say that I am always quite lost when I haveto use a browser without the Googlebar, so I try to keep those instances to a bare minimum. I use it on both Linux (FC2, Slack) and Windows, and it has a wealth of functionality that, as I said before,
I cannot live without.
My problem stems from the search highlight function - every time I highlight a page, and then forget to click off the highlight feature to start another, the Googlebar attempts to run a highlight search on
the entire page, for each string that it sees, and it completely bogs the program down for a good 10 seconds.
Any ideas on how I can prevent this?
If so, a point in the right direction would be appreciated.
If not -- I was wondering if you guys were considering throwing in an automatic "hightlight off" feature that activates when one modifies the search string? Perhaps the details of such a feature are
prohibitive, but I think it would improve the searching experience.
This might seem to be knitpickery, but I do at least 50 Google searches on an average day, so this issue pops up frequently.
Thanks in advance!
Joshua Estell
