You misunderstand a critical difference between XMLHttpRequest and
GM_XMLHttpRequest.  The prior is the standard javascript method, which
has security limitations limiting it to fetching from the server the
current URL is located on.  The latter is a Greasmonkey specific
extension, which does not have that restriction.  What you're
attempting to do is impossible.
