Wow! The power of publicity. Two ideas spring to my mind.

1. Write to Vivisimo with your analysis. It will demonstrate to them how 
wise they were to place a Mycroft plugin on their main page and hence 
they will be encouraged to keep it there.

2. Write to the other major search engines presenting this analysis and 
suggesting that they also can benefit to a similar degree by including a 
link to our plugins.

If they choose to follow Vivisimo's example it will be a great boost for 
both Mycroft and Mozilla in general.
