I have same settings in tagzilla.
My taglinefile is somethings like:

taglineA
taglineA
%
taglineB
taglineB
%
taglineC
taglineC

and so on.
Without \n at the end of lines.
And it works fine (but i found a bug i'm trying to file somewhere, right
now...)
