Hello everyone,
this is just a minor pain in the ass, but nevertheless it is a pain.
Im using Tagzilla with Mozilla 1.7.11. And cause of the different
Mailinglists, I have some folders which contain a german speaking
list, and some with an english speaking list. While it is no Problem
to have an english signature in a german list, the other way round
wont make any sense.
I use a workaround, for this. in the account with the different
folders (Folder E english, Folder G german) I set different Tagzilla
Files with mnenhy folder-storage (mnenhy.mozdev.org). This allows me
to use the signature file containing only english signatures in FOLDER
E, while using the mixed file in FOLDER G.
This works just fine, just be sure to use the right
"tagzilla.idX.mailFile", i.e. the right identity for this account.
BUT:
Its pretty hard to keep the signatures files consistent. When adding a
n english signature in a FOLDER G, it is added to the mixed signature
file only, not to the english one. Vice Versa, in FOLDER E it is only
added to the englsih file.
SOLUTION:
Im not sure if this is possible, and how to do this best.
It would be good to have some sort of TAG, which you can identify the
language of the signature below it:
%
[TAG: english]
ENGLISH SIGNATURE ENGLISH SIGNATURE
%
[TAG: german]
DEUTSCHE SIGNATUR DEUTSCHE SIGNATUR
If you could set a pref via mnenhy folder-storage, e.g.
userpref("tagzilla.folder-language", "english");
which selects only signature with the right Tag, the problem could be
solved.
OR you could leave out mnenhy completely, and define tagzilla
properties for each folder, which could be a bit much.
What does everyone think about this? Is it just me, needing this? Or
is something like this planned? Or is it there already, and I didn't
notice?
Thanks,
OJ

In Africa some of the native tribes have a custom of beating the
ground with clubs and uttering spine chilling cries. Anthropologists
call this a form of primitive self-expression. In America we call it
golf. (Unbekannt)
